We jump into the Starbound 1.2 unstable branch as we preview the big Starbound 1.2 update!

Starbound Ancient Vaults are new procedurally generated dungeons that can be accessed once the main Starbound storyline is complete.

In this what's new in Starbound 1.2 preview video we take a look at how to unlock the Starbound Ancient Vaults with keys traded at the outpost.

Each Starbound Ancient Vaults exists for a short amount of time, in which you can fight your way to defeat elemental-based enemies and a randomly generated Ancient Vault mini boss that guards a Terraforge and Ancient Anvil.

We take a look at how to use a Terraforge and Anvil, seeing how you can craft terraformers and upgrade weapons in this what's new in Starbound 1.2 preview video.

NOTE: Because this is the unstable branch, all features are subject to change. To access Starbound 1.2 before the game's stable update, just make sure you have the unstable version installed via Steam.
