Brown Patches in spring grass may be Nimbelwill, how to know if this is the problem with your lawn.

Nimbelwil ( muhlenbergia)is considered an invasive grass or grassy weed species when it shows up in a cool season grass.

This video I'll show you what to look for how to identify nimbelwill and what options you have once you recognize nimbelwill in your lawn.

Symptoms are:
-Brown patches in spring when other grass turns green.
-Lighter green color during growing season
- Thick mat like appearance in larger patches.
- Strange non bladed look, similar to Bermuda grass
- Possibly green when other grass is brown from heat stress
- Flat patches grow and choke out other preferred grass like Kentucky bluegrass or tall fescue.
