Clean Bandit & Friends - A Young Black Man (A Response to Keedron Bryant)

In the absence of words to add, here is a musical response. Our accompaniment to Keedron Bryant’s beautiful song has been written for us by Belize-born British composer Errollyn Wallen CBE. She is the first black woman to have a work performed at the BBC Proms and a life-long friend and inspiration. Our string music is a response to the song written by Johnetta Bryant for her son Keedron after the murder of George Floyd.

I am performing this accompaniment with my friends and esteemed young classical musicians Sheku Kanneh-Mason (cello), Braimah Kanneh-Mason (violin), Nicola Benedetti (violin) and Stephanie Benedetti (violin). Grace.
