The Benefits of Tesla Changing Cybertruck's Alloy

Elon Musk confirmed that Tesla plans to use a different alloy for the upcoming Cybertruck electric pickup.

Tesla Cybertruck is an unusual pickup truck. In addition to having incredible characteristics, it also has a unique design. Cybertruck is built with an exterior shell made for ultimate durability and passenger protection. Starting with a nearly impenetrable exoskeleton, every component is designed for superior strength and endurance, from its ultra-hard 30X cold-rolled stainless-steel structural skin to Tesla “armor glass.” But like with its other vehicles, Tesla continues to improve the Cybertruck: The alloy from which it will be produced will be different from the one from which it was made for presentation.

So, why is stainless-steel a good choice?

First. it has special properties that make it durable, corrosion, scratch, and dent resistant.

Second, this material is ideally suited to be subsequently recycled.
This is why stainless-steel is used by SpaceX to make the hull of Starship, the spacecraft that will take people to Mars.

Tesla's is extremely important. If there is an opportunity to improve its products, then Tesla does it. The new alloy will surely have improved characteristics that will make Cybertruck even more amazing.

OK. I think this was inevitable once SpaceX changed materials. What Musk is doing is creating more demand for whatever alloy SpaceX settles on to drive up the volume of production and drive down material cost. If SpaceX changes again, then the Cybertruck will change with it.
