Physics majors study the universe, from electrons and protons to supergiant stars.

As a physics major you will take A LOT of math and apply complex formulas to the problems at hand. Physics majors don't just learn the equations that govern the universe but often prove and understand them on a much deeper level. Whereas an engineer may just learn the equation but then go on to apply it to more design problems.

Physicists can go into research at private or government labs or work along side engineers to help innovate new technologies and products. Additionally there are many fields within the physics major that you can concentrate in from optics to particle physics to astrophysics.
