A espondiloartrose é um tipo de artrose que causa uma série de alterações na coluna lombar, cervical ou dorsal, afetando os ossos, ligamentos, disco intervertebral e nervos, o que provoca dor e, muitas vezes, é incapacitante.
Na espondiloartrose, o disco intervertebral pode ficar deformado causando uma hérnia de disco e, além disso, os ligamentos da coluna ficam frouxos, gerando sintomas típicos da doença que incluem dor que piora com movimentos.
