Tuesday Guitar: Carulli Study #2 in A minor...The whole Shebang!!

Today we'll work on the full version of Carulli's beautiful Study #2 after our taster of it from last week.

I've presented it in chord chart format so that you can focus on the harmonic structure of it, as well as learn some new chord voicings. Each chord is played twice unless they are bracketed off, as seen in lines 2, 4 and 5. Those bracketed chords are played one time each

A general rule of thumb for the picking patterns:
Am, A7*, C, C* are picked 521 321
E, E7, G7 are generally picked 621 321
Dm, Dm* are picked 421 321

Where other picking patterns are used, I have indicated what to use.

Please note that the * is there to indicate a voicing that may be different than the standard chord shape.

Some information about Ferdinando Carulli:

Carulli was born in Naples, Italy in February of 1770. After successful musical tours throughout Europe, he made his home in Paris where he stayed until his death in February of 1841.

He composed many pieces for classical guitar, writing over 400 works for the instrument. These range from solo pieces to chamber music and concertos. He wrote a guitar method entitled "Méthode complète pour guitare ou lyre, op. 27" (1810), which is still used by classical guitar students today.
