[4K] Singapore Walking Tour in CHINATOWN (Singapore VLOG)

Today, we go on a virtual walk through Chinatown in Singapore. If you're looking for things to do in Singapore, Chinatown should be first on your list.

When you visit Chinatown in Singapore, it is very pleasant to walk through its streets, to visit its temples and markets, and to eat in its trendy restaurants.

You can visit its Wet Market, then buy trinkets in one of its many stores, and simply soak up the captivating atmosphere of its crowded streets.

The Chinatown Heritage Centre, a beautiful museum that tells the story of the lives of Singapore's early Chinese immigrants, is located here.

And don't miss a visit to the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple, a huge 5-storey, colorful temple where you can attend the prayers of the faithful. On the top floor, on the roof, there is a beautiful small garden full of flowers.

For those who want something sensational, don't miss a drink at the 1-Altitude, the highest roof top bar in the world, from where you will have an obviously sublime view of the city, especially at night.

Chinatown is a lively district where temples rub shoulders with stores and restaurants, with the skyscrapers of the business district in the background.

Chinatown lends itself to strolling. You have to get lost in its sometimes winding, often decorated alleys to feel its soul and its history. A proof of the coexistence of the ancient and the modern that is unique to Singapore.

Singapore is a dense melting pot and the whole of Asia is greatly represented there. The Chinese community was once concentrated in the Chinatown area, but today this community is ubiquitous throughout Singapore and this renovated area has gradually lost its authenticity, giving way to shops, trendy restaurants and hotels.

An entire street is dedicated to street food. Let yourself be tempted by these new flavors of the north. Once regaled, explore the surroundings: colorful walls, traditional signs, lanterns and Buddhist temples will transport you in immersion in the Chinese culture.

Not to be missed in Chinatown:

The Thian Hock Keng temple: go early in the morning in this absolutely remarkable authentic temple, with a very traditional architectural style, in which one feels out of time and in deep harmony with the place.

The Chinatown Buddha Tooth Relics Temple: An imposing and majestic temple located in the heart of Chinatown. You can attend religious ceremonies between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm (discreetly of course), visit the Buddha Tooth Relic Museum, walk around the 4 floors of the temple, and absolutely go to the green and peaceful roof terrace, with in its center this magnificent small traditional temple that houses a large prayer scroll.

Smith Street is one of the city's main Hawker Centers (a kind of small shopping mall) located just in front of the Chinatown Buddha Tooth Relics temple, where you can find many stands of local specialties to taste on the spot or to take away for only a few dollars.

Feel free to share several dishes to taste, it's a delight!
