It was an election that few seemed interested in taking part in — but it’s an election that happened anyways.

For PC Leader Blaine Higgs, the decision to call a snap election during a global pandemic appears to have worked in his favour. The PCs are projected to form government; whether it will be a majority or a minority is up in the air.

At 28 days, New Brunswick’s general election campaign was a bit shorter than most.

But the campaign will be remembered for another distinction: Canada’s first provincial campaign since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
