Have you ever looked back and thought of the thousand things you would've changed had you only known? A relationship? A business decisions? The “what if” if you will. As I look back a YEAR ago, yes, it’s been a year-to-date since my record “Honestly” came out on Sony, there are several things I would've done differently. But you know what?

We do the best with what we know.

I had a hard time releasing this video only because I know how much my heart/mind have changed since making the “honestly” record. As I continue to watch this video I keep thinking how my priorities, goals and visions have dramatically shifted. How music unexpectedly took me far beyond what I imagined and how I still wasn't completely satisfied. Don't get me wrong, I was thankful, still am, but I was stuck on the idea that having a successful music career was my “end all, be all” the thing that would make me happy forever. Well...that wasn't the case. I would highly suggest you read the following post from a few months back. However, I did want to post this because it will forever live on youtube as a reminder and token to the past. It's a part of my story. My scrapbook! And...It's Saturday (video release day)! It’s nothing I'm ashamed of or would like to hide, it’s a wonderful reminder of where a passion can take you! I encourage every single one of you to go after something you're passionate about, otherwise, you're doing yourself a disservice and wasting your own time.

SO. Now, I'm just thankful to be alive and thankful to be learning every day. I've been one of the fortunate ones who gets to do music for a living and honestly, that's enough for me.

PSS. Some of you will ask, “are you still with Sony?” - The answer is “ehhhh...technically yes” - it’s a long story. However...I’m excited about stepping away from the label situation and looking forward to releasing directly to you, Independently.
