IS THERE A ROCK IN MY TOENAIL?!

This patient came to see Dr. Freels seeking treatment for a painful ingrown toenail that had developed a pyogenic granuloma. Although these typically aren't dangerous, they can cause extreme discomfort and eventually lead to infection if left untreated.

This case was unique in that the bump was hard as a rock, which is unusual for a pyogenic granuloma. They are usually pretty fluctuant! Watch this video to see how Dr. Freels treated this patient, including examining X-Rays to see why the bump was so hard!
