Madrid-based band formed in 1981, comprised of Ricardo Llorca (keyboards) Ramón G. del Pomar (guitar) Patricia A. de Lorenzana (bass) and Mavi Margarida (voice and drum machine). All we are left with is 4 gigs in Madrid, an 8-track demo, some photos on stage and some press releases.

Their music, aptly described as Electro Pop, combined several influences from all genres. Their gigs called a great deal of attention due to their mixing of music and a great staging never seen before in Madrid. Línea Vienesa were not just music, but a concept in itself, also reflected in their lyrics, which were like frivolous poems dealing with everyday issues plus a touch of humour and romanticism. They were the first non mainstream Spanish band featured nationwide in the press. Designer Jesús del Pozo, writer Jorge Berlanga and painter Sigfrido Martín Begué joined in sporadically.
