The Rookie: 1x9 – Standoff

Synopsis – Whilst on the ground with a gun pointed at his head, Nolan decides to fight back against the intruder who wants him dead. Nolan kicks him in the leg which causes him to pull the trigger to which the bullet misses Nolan’s head and hits the ground.

Meanwhile, after hearing gunfire, Chen gets her gun and shouts at the intruder to stop what he is doing, Nolan sees this as a chance to put him down once and for all, so he leans back and throws him through the window causing him to become unconscious.

After Nolan rings the police, Chen tells him that the situation is worse as it seems because once the cops come, they will know that they slept together which is bad because she didn’t disclose their relationship to the investigators. Nolan tells her it will be okay as the intruder didn’t see her face and she should leave before they arrive.

*Final Scene*

After telling Commander West and Captain Anderson what happened hours before, Nolan gets asked if he was alone when the situation took place. He honours what he said to Chen and replies to West by saying, “Yes Sir, I was alone”.
