Drum Teacher reacts to Matt Garstka - Ectogenesis Playthrough

Hey everyone! Today we're going to taking a look at one of my favorite drum set players (in terms of watching him play individually) Matt Garstka! I chose to go big and pick Matt Garstka doing his Ectogenesis Playthrough which I have a feeling that I've seen at some point, at least partially but today we're going to be taking a look at the whole video together which I don't think that I've done. Again, I should probably stress that I've never really heard his stuff in context with Animals as leaders, more so I've grown to really appreciate his playing every time that I see him featured by Vic Firth on whenever he appears on places like Drumeo and the like.

For those of you that don't know, this video will be covering not just a reaction to what I'm watching but I'll be talking about the things that I really enjoy about what the featured artist is doing. This can range from how they have composed their music from player to player if it's a band, or the drummer himself; and what I think they're doing really well technically as well as musically! Of course, there's only so much that can be covered in a short YouTube video so there are bound to be things that I've missed so bear with me! And now, time for the mandatory disclaimer!
