Baz Luhrmann looking back on Romeo + Juliet (1996)

The Australian director Baz Luhrmann created blockbusters like Moulin Rouge (2001) and The Great Gatsby (2013). Before that he had his international breakthrough with the flamboyant updated Shakespeare play Romeo + Juliet (1996). We visited Mr. Luhrmann and spoke with him about this incredible film starring a young Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes.
