The Heat: Narendra Modi's BJP wins landslide election

After six weeks and six-hundred million votes, India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi is celebrating a stunning victory. Voters gave the BJP party a majority in parliament, winning or leading in 352-seats in the lower house of parliament—surpassing the 272-seat majority needed to form a government. Modi secured a bigger victory than in 2014, something no Indian party has accomplished in 48 years.
