GFA 2015 - Hunter & Braden Gandee - Inspiring Story

At 15-years-old Hunter Gandee is the oldest of four children, with his brother Braden falling in the middle at age 8. At 32 weeks, Braden was born and complications resulted in the diagnosis of Cerebral Palsy.

Big brother Hunter soon made it his goal to spread awareness of this neurological disorder, through fundraisers at school and a large event featuring Braden. Last June, in what was named The Cerebral Palsy Swagger, Hunter carried Braden 40 miles, starting at the Bedford Junior High School and ending at the University of Michigan’s Bahna Wrestling room.

With Hunter’s dedication in leading these efforts, and Braden’s courage in allowing his disability to be examined and discussed openly with the public, the Gandees have proven that anyone at anytime can make a difference.
