* Barbara Joan Streisand (born April 24, 1942), is an American singer, actress & filmmaker. With a career spanning over 6 decades & is among the few performers awarded an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar & Tony (EGOT).

She began her career by performing in nightclubs & Broadway theaters in the early 1960s. Following her guest appearances on various television shows, she signed to Columbia Records, insisting that she retain full artistic control & accepting lower pay in exchange, an arrangement that continued throughout her career & released her debut The Barbra Streisand Album (1963), which won the Grammy for Album of the Year. Streisand has topped the US Billboard 200 chart with 11 albums—a record for a woman—including People, The Way We Were, Guilty & The Broadway Album. She also achieved 5 no 1 singles on the US Billboard Hot 100—The Way We Were, Evergreen, You Don't Bring Me Flowers, Enough Is Enough & Woman in Love.

She ventured into film by the end of 1960s. She starred in the critically acclaimed Funny Girl, for which she won the Oscar for Best Actress, Hello, Dolly!, What's Up, Doc?, The Way We Were. She won a 2nd Oscar for the theme from A Star Is Born, the 1st woman to be honored as a composer. With the release of Yentl, she became the 1st woman to write, produce, direct & star in a major studio film. She received the Golden Globe for Best Director, becoming the 1st (for 37 years, the only) woman to win that award. She later directed The Prince of Tides & The Mirror Has Two Faces.

With sales exceeding 150 million records, she is one of the best-selling recording artists of all time. According to the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), she is the highest-certified female artist in the US, with 68.5 million certified album units tying with Mariah Carey. Billboard ranked her as the greatest female artist on the Billboard 200 chart & the top Adult Contemporary female artist of all time. Her accolades include 2 Oscars, 10 Grammys, 5 Emmys, 4 Peabody Awards, the Presidential Medal of Freedom & 9 Golden Globes.

* Celine Dion (born 30 March 1968) is a Canadian singer. She is noted for her powerful & technically skilled vocals. Dion is the best-selling Canadian artist & the best-selling French language artist of all time.Her music has incorporated genres such as pop, rock, R&B, gospel & classical music.

Born into a large family (she is the youngest of 14 children) from Quebec, she emerged as a teen star in her country during the 1980s. She gained international recognition by winning the 1982 Yamaha World Popular Song Festival & the 1988 Eurovision Song Contest, where she represented Switzerland. After learning English, in 1990, Dion released her debut English album, Unison. Her recordings are in French & English, she has also sung in Spanish, Italian, German, Latin, Japanese & Mandarin Chinese.

During the 1990s, she achieved worldwide fame after releasing several best-selling albums in history, such as Falling into You (1996) & Let's Talk About Love (1997), with over 30 million sales each. She also scored a series of no1 hits, "The Power of Love", "Think Twice", "Because You Loved Me", "It's All Coming Back to Me Now", "My Heart Will Go On" & "I'm Your Angel". D'eux (1995) became the best-selling French album of all time. A New Day... on Las Vegas (2003–07), remains the highest-grossing concert residency of all time & the Taking Chances World Tour (2008–09), one of the highest-grossing concert tours of all time.

Dion is also one of the best-selling music artists of all time, with sales of more than 200 million. Dion is regarded as one of pop music's most successful vocalists. She won 5 Grammy Awards. Billboard named her the Queen of Adult Contemporary for having the most no1 songs for a female artist. Dion is the 2nd best-selling female artist in the US, the 8th all-time best-performing top female artist in the US & the 6th all-time best-performing female soloist in Billboard 200 history. In 2003, she was honored by the IFPI for selling over 50 million albums in Europe.
