Drivers forced to navigate through 'Russian' MINES laid across a bridge in Ukraine
DRIVERS are forced to navigate their way through MINES laid across a bridge in Ukraine.
The shocking video shows dozens of explosive devices scattered across the road in four rows, hampering flow of traffic and putting innocent lives in danger.
The bridge surrounded by trees on both sides looks deserted as traffic trickles through slowly.
A silver car can be seen creeping over the explosive devices guided by others on the other side of the road.
The traffic was slowed down and vehicles were made to wait over a hundred metres away from the mines as cars were led through the road one by one.
It is not known when the video footage was filmed but according to Army Informa, the official twitter account of the Inform agency of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, the video footage is from Borodyanka, Kyiv region, Ukraine.
Throughout the world millions of hectares of land are contaminated by landmines.
The explosive device remains active years after conflicts have ended.
Thousands of civilians have died or have been maimed by landmines between 1999 to 2017.
Many people online were shocked by the video. One added: “Hopefully can clear those soon.
Another took a swipe at Russian army: “God what a stupid and incompetent use of mines.
“These clowning will not stop the military.”
