In 1997, 15 year old Jessica Small was enjoying a Saturday night out with her friend Vanessa when the pair decided to hitchhike home. Things turned bad when the mystery driver pulled into a dark street and turned his headlights off. Vanessa managed to escape the vehicle, running away at full speed screaming, believing her friend was just steps behind her- but she wasn't. Jessica Small has never been seen again. So, with one really good witness, being Vanessa, you'd think police could easily solve this case, but they managed to bungle the investigation in every way possible. It would be an entire decade before anyone looked into Jessica's disappearance properly.
