Yoga for Your Period - Build up some Heat 🔥 while Mindfully Stretching Your Lower Abdomen & Twisting

Don't let pms, cramps and menstrual discomfort trap you in your house or keep you from doing things you love, like yoga. Yoga can help relieve some of the discomfort.
In this video we will do some gentle stretching of the stomach, move through a gentle sun salutation and then take it to the ground for stretching.
I'll be honest, I am often tempted to curl up on my couch and wait out my period. But actually the best thing for me is to take it to the mat, stretch out my stomach, lower back and get into some twists to ease digestion. Lately, I can even avoid taking any pain killers.
Some people don't recommend doing any yoga on your period, especially the first three days. For me I've found that yoga actually helps (and I get some bad cramps). So test it out for yourself, of course being very aware and gentle with the body, and then asking yourself, does this work for me?
