Coronavirus: Department of Health ‘far too unquestioning in its acceptance of advice’
Neurologist Dr Waqar Rashid has criticised the Department of Health on its reliance on scientific modelling for its Covid restrictions.
Speaking with talkRADIO’s Mike Graham, he said: “You have group of scientific advisers who really have run the show…there was a lack of suitable expertise within the Department of Health itself…it seems to me far too unquestioning, the acceptance of their advice.”
It comes after health secretary Matt Hancock warned that Covid measures will be needed through the winter despite the latest successful vaccine trials.
