Buckle up and turn it loud — Kickstand Jenny is taking fans back to rock’s most outrageous decade with their new single, “Sunset Strip.”Equal parts swagger, nostalgia, and pure fun, the song celebrates the glitz, grit, and glitter of 1980s Los Angeles — when the Sunset Strip was the epicenter of loud guitars, big hair, and even bigger dreams.
A play on words in every sense, “Sunset Strip” tells the story of a dancer doing her thing on the Strip… at sunset. It’s a cheeky nod to the excess and energy that made the era unforgettable — wrapped in blistering guitar riffs, thunderous drums, and a hook made for stadium sing-alongs.
“This one’s just about having fun and paying tribute to the bands that made us fall in love with rock in the first place,” says guitarist and songwriter Preston Morelock. “Poison, Mötley Crüe, Van Halen — they owned that street. This song is our love letter to that time, that attitude, that sound.”
From neon lights to power chords, “Sunset Strip” channels the rebellious heart of ‘80s glam metal with modern fire. It’s high-octane, tongue-in-cheek, and pure rock-and-roll escapism — reminding listeners that sometimes, music is just meant to make you feel alive.
