English progressive rock band that grew up on American psychedelia from the west coast of the United States. The first long-plei of BYZANTIUM were the demonstration recordings published at the expense of the musicians (with a circulation of one hundred copies), which are almost impossible to detect today. The sound of the band, the high point for which was the beginning of the decade, was dominated by techniques typical of West Coast rock. The Byzantium long-play, produced by Robyn Sylvester and Stuyn Taylor, produced under a contract with A & M Records, and the former leader and principal composer of the English psychedelic group ORA Jamie Rubinstein, tenor helped the quartet. saxophonist Alan Skidmore and Frank Ricotti (Franc Ricotti - timpani, percussion).
