Capsized! Dealing With A Soaked Outboard Engine - Ep. 154 RAN Sailing

Our first anchoring experience for the season was interesting. A huge low pressure came in over the Salish Sea and we were right in it. We had picked a safe anchorage but didn’t expect that the dinghy would capsize with the outboard on it!

We are a Swedish couple who wanted a different kind of life. So we moved aboard our sailboat Ran, a custom built Beason 40 in aluminium and untied the lines in the middle of the Swedish winter in January 2016. There is no set route and we will go where the wind and our minds take us.
