Rover 75 Fuel Challenge - Is it better to drive in Sports Mode all the time or not??

In this video we started a experiment back in November where we would drive the Rover 75 on a full tank of diesel in normal automatic and see how many miles we could get from a tank of diesel.

We then filled the car up again and drove in Sports Mode on the Automatic Gearbox.

Was there any difference driving in Sports Mode or was it more uneconomical??
