Australian Rail Treasure - The 130+ Year Old "Overland" Passenger Train

The Overland Passenger Train has been transporting people between Adelaide and Melbourne for over 130 years. The service which has been described as Australian rail treasure is set to cease operation at the end of March 2020. There is however hope for the service as the Government and Journey Beyond Rail continue discussions on how to keep this service running into the future. A petition has also been set up to try and get the South Australian government to continue funding the service as they did up intel the end of 2018.

In this video, the service across the last 12 months features at several locations along its route in both South Australia and Victoria. We hope you enjoy it!
