Hundreds of Art Mini's from Book of Background Pages
If you've done my Book of Background series, you likely have a ton of background pages and maybe you haven't done anything with them yet?
In this video tutorial, I'm going to assume you haven't done the Book of Backgrounds, so I'll show you how to create very simple backgrounds to create instant art to add to other pieces of art such as inchies, twinchies, ATC's ( artist trading cards ), 4x4's, mixed media and anythign else needing a background or embellishment.
Ready to make this? Here is what I used:
Substrate: 140lb watercolour or acrylic paper, corrugated cardboard or mixed media paper. Anything that is thick enough to be sturdy, yet easy enough to cut with a paper trimmer or a blade and ruler.
I used 140lb Strathmore Mixed Media Paper
Palette: DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylics
-Quinacridone Violet - DMFA34
-Phthalo Green-Yellow - DMFA25
-Phthalo Blue - DMFA23
-Transparent Yellow Iron Oxide - DMFA42
-Transparent Red Iron Oxide - DMFA41
-Transparent White - DMFA40
Stencils:
DecoArt Mixed Media Stencil - Button Alphabet: ASMM25
DecoArt Andy Skinner
- Half Tone - Andy105
-Alphabet Spaghetti - Andy101
General:
-Paper Cutter/Trimmer, Scissors, blade and ruler
-Random Stamps
-Synthetic Flat Brush
-Stencil or Bristle Brush
-StazOn - Jet Black Ink pad
-Baby Wipes
-Palette Paper
-Paper Towels
