Dutch Bros ends longtime partnership with Salem bakery

or years, many Dutch Bros customers in the Mid-Willamette Valley grabbed a cup of coffee and a pastry without realizing the baked goods came from a local family-owned bakery.

Now that partnership has ended, and A&M Sweets is turning the page.

The Salem bakery, which supplied pastries to about 25 Dutch Bros locations across the Mid-Willamette Valley, says it learned last November that Dutch Bros would no longer use local third-party bakery vendors as the company expanded its own food program.

"I was actually working for Dutch Bros when I started A&M Sweets," said co-owner Nicole Dankenbring. "My manager loved my baking, introduced me to the Salem owner, and they really took a chance on me. Honestly, that's why the bakery exists today."
