Manuel De Falla - Serenata Andaluza (1900)
Since, due Covid-19 and the hard time we are facing, we need to stay at home, I'm trying to play and study as much as I can.
This is a little tribute to one of my favorite places on earth, the charming Andalucia (Spain).
I've been living in this wonderful region, where I spent almost 2 incredible years!
This fantastic composition by Spanish composer Manuel De Falla reminds to the typical authentic blend of Spanish music flavours, from the Spanish instrumentalists of 16th century to the Flamenco influence and its harmonic possibilities.
I am truly amazed by how De Falla made sure that the piece maintained a Spanish quality even while still implementing classical elements, forging the bridge between classical and Spanish folk music.
Although I do admit it is fairly hard playing classical music on an electric keyboard (the feel, the touch and the interpretation and sound possibilities you can have on an acoustic grand piano are irreplaceable), I really enjoying playing this great keyboard (the fantastic Nord Grand, by Swedish brand Clavia).
Hope you like it :)
