India Needs a Strong Cybersecurity Law and Mindset | Dr. Pavan Duggal
India currently does not have a dedicated cybersecurity law, and while frameworks like the IT Act and CERT-In are working actively, the scale and speed of cyber threats are increasing rapidly. This creates a constant catch up situation where efforts struggle to match expectations.
Stronger laws, greater funding, and stronger political will are essential. But beyond that, the biggest challenge is mindset. Cybersecurity is a shared responsibility, and every individual is a part of the larger security chain. If one link is weak, the entire system becomes vulnerable.
