The Yearling - Based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings, this beautiful coming-of-age parable explores man’s relationship with nature and the meaning of maturity.

It focuses on the adventures of twelve-year-old Jody Baxter, a wistful only child growing up in an impoverished family in the Florida Everglades. Jody longs to have a pet, but his mother will not allow it, citing the family’s dire economic circumstances.
