"By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD(fear of going against the Lord) men depart from evil."

1 John 4:18
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

When we live in God(Good/Love) and righteousness we don't fear God himself and his son Jesus Christ because we know that they love us, their will for us is love, that we are loving and obeying them and their commandments/laws to the best of our ability with all of our hearts, minds, souls and strength. But we still fear going against them and their commandments/laws. So we don't fear God himself and his son Jesus Christ but the fear of going against God, his son and commandments/laws reminds us, helps us and guides us to flee from sins and doing evils against them, ourselves and all others. When we have God's love and love God by obeying the commandments, that love and obedience replaces the fear of God with the love of God. So we are made perfect through the love of God(Good/Love) and through the fear of going against him, his son and his children. So fear of going against God preserves us and guides us away from sin and violence to/towards love of God(good/love). So by fearing to go against God we prove our love for God. So fear of going against God guides us to love and to love God. Fear is not always a bad thing as a lot try to claim and have you believe by saying such quotes as 'the only thing we should fear is fear itself'. Fear can be a good thing and preserve our lives. Such as when you go near the edge of a cliff. Fear can guide you to watch your step so not to fall off and go to your death. In that same way the fear of going against God and his son can and does guide us to not sin and not commit evil against God, ourselves 'n all others. It helps us to realize that to do so is to do so against ourselves when we ought to be living in love(God/GoOD) instead. We're supposed to be one in the spirit of Love (God/Good) with God, his son Jesus, ourselves and all others. That's why the greatest 2 commands are to love God and ALL others AS OURSELVES. "ALL OTHERS INCLUDES GOD, HIS SON JESUS AND OURSELVES. That is clearly what Jesus was doing and the perspective that Jesus Christ had, was teaching and trying to teach in the scriptures, by his example. That is clearly the perspective that Christ had of The Father and all others. He loved us all and loves us all as himself. That is the biggest obstacle that people are clearly not yet getting and understanding. Their not viewing or loving God, Jesus and all others as themselves/a part of themselves, existing within them, their lives and minds right now. Most still view them all as separate from themselves, therefore they fail to fulfill the greatest 2 commandments through loving because they currently lack the perspective that Christ has of being one and becoming one through God/Love/Good. To love God you must love all including yourself and to love all and yourself you must Love God and his son Jesus as a part of yourself. How do you love all others as yourself and fulfill the greatest 2 commandments/laws if you don't even view them as yourself(a part of yourself) yet?

Psalm 147:11
"The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy."

That is saying God loves and delights in those who fear going against him. But he also still loves all, even evildoers and sinners. He proved that by sending and sacrificing Jesus for us evil sinners and all who wish to live in Love/God and his son Jesus instead of evil and sin. Which proves that his love for all is unconditional and always guiding towards love/Him for the good of all.

FEAR OF GOING AGAINST GOD 'N HIS SON OUR LORD JESUS PRESERVES OUR LIVES FROM GOING TO SIN, DESTRUCTION AND SELF DESTRUCTION. FEAR OF GOING AGAINST GOD AND HIS SON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST IS ALWAYS NECESSARY AND USEFUL. EVEN WHEN WE ARE ALREADY LOVING THEM. BECAUSE THAT FEAR HELPS US RESIST FALLING TO THE TEMPTATIONS OF DEVILS/D EVILS AS THEY COME AND TRY TO TEMPT US AWAY. Saying and thinking "God loves me anyway even when I am sinning" will deceive yourself and people into thinking that there will be no consequences to choices, that sin and sinning against God, ourselves 'n all others. It is clearly, simply untrue. 'Cause there are clearly consequences to our choices. We are told by God 'n the scriptures that there will be cause and effect, will be wrath, destruction due to evil, sin, that and those who are for it.
