Jacob's Crosscut Trail, Lost Dutchman State Park, Apache Junction, AZ.

I have been to the Lost Dutchman State Park several times. In 2022 I created a video on the Lost Dutchman State Park after hiking the trails for several days:

This video describes my hike in 2024 on Jacob’s Crosscut Trail in the park. It branches off from the Treasure Loop Trail, which I featured in the earlier video.

Arizona’s Lost Dutchmen State Park has delightful desert hiking trails, in the shadow of the notorious (spooky?) Superstition Mountains. The park is located in the Sonoran Desert near Apache Junction, east of Phoenix.

Lost Dutchman State Park encompasses 292 acres and was developed from a recreational area administered by the Bureau of Land Management starting in 1972. It was dedicated as a state park on December 5, 1977. The park has many hiking trails and an extensive campground. Facilities include cabins, restrooms, showers, a dump station, picnic areas and shelters. Being so close to the Phoenix area, the park is heavily used.

(I noticed that the wooden signs on the trail itself have an extra “s” in the name of the trail: “Jacobs’s Crosscut Trail”. Oops. It should be just Jacob's.)
