‘My son called Sonam “didi”; only work talk,’ says mother of accused in Raghuvanshi murder case

The mother and sisters of Raj Kushwaha—one of five accused in the Meghalaya honeymoon murder of Raja Raghuvanshi—insist that all conversations between Raj and Sonam Raghuvanshi were strictly work-related. Living under the same roof, the family says they often overheard his calls in their Sunmica-sheet business office and never heard anything personal. Raj’s sisters demand his release, calling him innocent and alleging he’s being framed. He remains in Meghalaya police custody in Shillong.
