Flat Tire Repair Plugging vs. Patching - This is why good shops will not plug your tire!

Flat tires have been problem we have or all will encounter as drivers. Plugging was the acceptable fix in the past - but like all things - times have changed. Plugging is not the correct way to repair a tire. The tire should be removed from the rim for inspection. At that point you can determine if it is repairable. If it is to be repaired - then it should be a patch plug repair done from the inside of the tire.
