In the final chapter of Edinburgh is a Story, part of our digital programme At Home in partnership with abrdn, Scottish Ballet dancer James Garrington performs an exclusive commission choreographed by Nicholas Shoesmith.

Dancing atop the towering, dense stone structure of the National Monument on Calton Hill, across the airy Braid Hills to the south and along the expanse of sand and sea at Portobello Beach, this stunning ballet commission celebrates the elements of earth, water and air in a daring exhibition of the physical power, poise and elegance of the art form.
