Grammetry Restorative Dental Workflow

Learn the dental workflow process for capturing scans and creating a Printed Try-In for a dental prosthesis using the Grammetry dental lab workflow. The process begins with taking full-face photos of the patient, followed by seating scan bodies onto the MUAs and luting the framework using acrylic resin. After curing, the framework is removed and scanned extraorally.

For denture cases, additional steps involve seating approved healing caps, trying in the denture, and capturing a PVS wash. A 360° extraoral scan of the denture is then captured using an intraoral scanner (IOS).

Next, the tissue and MUAs are scanned without any components seated, either using an IOS or a PVS impression. The denture or prosthesis is re-seated, and additional IOS scans are captured, including the teeth and labial flange (for dentures), the opposing arch, and the bite.

All scans are uploaded to ROE Dental Laboratory, where they will fabricate or provide in-office printing files for the Printed Try-In, a 3D-printed prototype of the final prosthesis. This dental workflow ensures accurate capture of all necessary data for the creation of a well-fitting and functional dental prosthesis.
