Machine Knitting - Knitweave on a Silver Reed punchcard machine

This video explains how to do the technique of knitweave on the Silver Reed punchcard knitting machine. I am using an SK280 in this demonstration, but the same method would apply to other models, plus the SK155 chunky, and the fine gauge machines as well.

i show how to knitweave using manual stitch selection, punchcard selection with hand fed weaving yarn, and I demonstrate using the AW1 weaving arm. This accessory is exclusive to the Silver Reed (aka Knitmaster, Studio, Singer, Empisal) machines, and it automatically transfers the weaving yarn from side to side on each pass of carriage, speeding up the knitting quite dramatically.
