101 Dalmatians Diorama

I have always shared great fondness for the scratchy era movies. 101 Dalmatians being one of my all time favourites. I love everything about it: the premise, the music, the characters (shout out to my all time fave Cruella De Vil) but most of all the backgrounds. There is something so artsy and detail oriented about them that I always get lost in them, as if they were more interesting than the movie itself. From Roger’s bachelor pad, to Cruella’s bedroom and the Old De Vil Place, these places and it’s details tell us so much about the characters, their lives and their back stories. For my 35th diorama I have reconstructed this scene of the puppies watching TV at Roger and Anitta’s house. I’ve had so much fun studying the details and reproducing so many of the elements. The only thing not hand made in this Set is the TV (and the doggies of course). I hope you’ll enjoy this, and feel invited to sit on this armchair and cuddle with some puppies while watching Thunderbolt. You can even stay for ‘What’s My Crime?’ airing just after the Kanine Krunchies comercial.
