Why I’m Done Ordering High-End Tech from Amazon

I’ve always wanted a permanent studio setup—something where I could just sit down and record without the 30-minute struggle with cameras and lights. I finally found the perfect 4-in-1 desk mount from Hoss and even managed to get it for ₹6,800, a solid ₹1,000 discount from the usual price.
But as they say, if it’s too good to be true, Amazon might just fail to deliver it.

Despite being an Amazon Prime member and expecting a quick 24-hour delivery, my order was repeatedly marked as “undeliverable” for vague reasons like missing OTPs—even though I was home and ready. After 16 calls to customer care and multiple escalations, the system simply glitched out, sent me six random OTPs at once, and then cancelled the entire order.

This isn’t the first time this has happened in Pune, and it has honestly killed my trust in ordering high-value electronics online. From now on, I’m sticking to local stores for my tech and even moving my recurring cat food subscriptions elsewhere.
