Neil Oliver: Covid vaccine ‘must be a choice of free people’

Archaeologist Neil Oliver has praised the UK’s approval of a coronavirus vaccine but warned it “must be the choice of free people”.

Speaking with talkRADIO’s Mike Graham, the broadcaster said: “I want to get back to where we as free people are trusted to make our own decisions.

"Once you bring in this idea that it’s, not necessarily compulsory, but there’s this sleight of hand…it’s more likely to increase suspicion.”

Britain has become the first country in the world to approve a a jab from Pfizer and BioNTech, with doses expected to be rolled out as early as next week.

Elderly people in care homes and their carers are top of the list to receive the Covid-19 vaccine, which has been shown in studies to be 95% effective and works in all age groups.
