Dairy Free Chocolate Cake Mix

I'm not the best cake baker in the world and my husband knows it, but I still wanted to surprise him with a special cake for his birthday. Since I love sweets, but dairy doesn't agree with me I needed to make something we both can enjoy.

I made a dairy free, egg free chocolate cake mix so we both can enjoy a piece of cake. The cake batter also includes vegan butter. His special serving did have dairy in the frosting, but that can always be substituted for a dairy free version.

The cake came out moist and chocolatey (if that's even a word). I hope you enjoy!
