Prime Minister Modi accused Congress of encouraging Naxalism in Chhattisgarh and other less developed states during a rally in Bilaspur. The attack came after 15 Naxalites with a cumulative award of 68 lakh rupees surrendered in Bijapur. Union Home Minister Amit Shah welcomed the surrender, stating that those who lay down weapons and adopt the path of development will be rehabilitated.
