MK4 GOLF GTI INTERIOR WATER LEAK (BUTYL STRIPS)

In this video I make an attempt to repair a water leak that is allowing rain water into the car.

I first started noticing this when I was approaching the car and the windows would constantly be condensated until the point that there would be droplets on the windscreen. I also found a wet patch in the rear foot well which turned into a puddle over a matter of weeks.

Due to issues I had with the thermostat the engine would take an eternity to heat up and in turn take ages for the windows de - mist.

I spoke to a friend of mine who had the same issue as myself with his Seat Leon Cupra and he was making this repair at the time so i thought I would give it a go and document it in the video.

I know for a fact that this has repaired a water leak that was there but I am not 100% convinced it is the only one. Only time will tell.
