Pick up the Wing Edge behind the counter, then head to Mogrika to read and accept a letter. Go straight to Mt. Gulug and pick up the upper level treasures, slide down the rope and release the bucket to the bottom of the well, then head right toward Moolan. Pick up the Wing Edge and set up the party for the first of three Red Dragon fights.

Now that more equipment is in the inventory, the Optimize option may not be worth doing now, so I will start listing entire setups with abilities in parenthesis. Remove everything from Vivi and equip the following...

Zidane - Exploda, Green Beret, Egoist's Armlet, Chain Plate, Fairy Earrings

Freya - Heavy Lance, Barbut, Thunder Gloves, Shield Armor, Lapis Lazuli

Deliver Moolan's letter and accept his letter for Mogtaka and save.

Now for the worst of the 3 Red Dragon battles, its a long walk to the Gaia Gear and back before the fight even begins. In each fight, it's all about disabling the enemies. Vivi and Freya have Stop, and Amarant has Venom. Everyone except Vivi needs AP in all 3 fights so reset soon if things don't go your way. Zidane and Freya should learn Devil Killer after fight #1.

After the 1st Red Dragon fight, equip Zidane with the Running Shoes and Adaman Vest and activate Auto-Haste (removing Clear Headed)
Save before fighting the Red Dragons at the bottom of the well.

The second fight is a short walk so the resets are now much more bearable! If Zidane has the chance, steal something and hope for Ethers. Freya and Amarant should learn Add Status after fight #2.

Equip Zidane with the Thief Gloves, Amarant with the Jade Armlet and Fairy Earrings, and Freya with the Mythril Gloves. Climb back up the rope and head left into a room for a treasure, then up to the room with Mogtaka to deliver his letter and save again.

The last fight is only against one dragon, so a perfect fight should be free. Zidane learns Bird Killer and Freya learns Man Eater. Before saving again, set up for Meltigemeni...

After the scenes with Mog and Eiko, you will receive Mog's Ribbon automatically.
Then the fight with Meltigemeni begins. Two attacks from Freya and Amarant each should win, unless Freya criticals twice, you won't save time from one less attack. This is Eiko's last battle so she is a sacrificial lamb here. Antibody will guard against Venom Powder, and Bio is only good against Eiko only. Wings is ideal. Zidane's only task is to steal, preferably the Demon's Vest but Golden Hairpin is fine as whatever you get is going to be sold for cash anyway. Everyone needs AP except for Eiko...

After a lot of dialogue, you're back in Lindblum. Pick up the letter for Kumool and head to the conference room below the royal chamber for more scenes & dialogue, Beatrix will give you a Garnet, and eventually you will be prompted to form a party once on the Hilda Garde 3. Take Amarant with you.

Before going anywhere, re-dock in Lindblum and board bridge for two treasures only obtainable while docked. Leave and re-board going to the world map and head to Pinnacle Rocks nearby. Pick up the two treasures at the end of the long path that you might have seen when leaving here back on Disc 2. Finally, disembark next to the chocobo tracks in front of Chocobo's Forest, call Choco and finally save!
