Here are some words from our filmmakers Alexey Romanov and Ramil Yusupov: This was a big expedition in the summer of 2021, lasting about a month. We traveled by car for over 6,000 kilometers. Initially, our plan was to reach the city of Kem on the shores of the White Sea, visiting the lakes of Karelia. However, after arriving in Kem and talking to fellow travelers who were relaxing by the sea, we decided to continue our journey to the Kola Peninsula, visiting the city of Murmansk and the Arctic village of Teriberka.

Late July and early August is a convenient time for a trip to the North. That's usually recommended. There are fewer mosquitoes, and the weather is stable. The weather in Bashkortostan was very hot, and we expected to drive the entire route under such sun, but on the first day, a rainy front caught up with us. It stayed with us throughout the expedition. The weather affected our filming plans. We were very worried that we wouldn't be able to shoot a proper film. Bad weather in the North means drizzling rain, a dull sky without texture. No light means no color. Everything around us was flat. However, there were also brief periods of good weather that allowed us to work properly.
