Hashim discusses the nature of God with a Christian Trinitarian.
Particularly the attribute of His Aseity.
Divine aseity is defined as the absolute self-sufficiency, independence, and autonomy of God.
Within the Christian Godhead, aseity is only possessed by the Father as the Son and Holy Spirit proceed from the Father. Therefore, they are contingent on the Father even for their existence.

Hashim also discussed the Filioque Controversy.
The 1054 split in the Easter and Western church was a result of the disagreement as to whether the Holy Spirit proceeded from just the Father or both the Father and the Son. The controversy, between the Roman Catholic Church and the Eastern Orthodox Tradition, mostly took place with the addition of “and the Son” in The Nicene Creed. This is known as the Filioque Controversy.

Filioque is the Latin word meaning “and from the Son” had caused so much division in the early church that it led to the split between the Roman Catholic Church and the Eastern Orthodox tradition in CE 1054.
