Charles Wilson Peale's American Museum

Charles Wilson Peale was a portrait artist during the American Revolution and preserved the images of many of the nation's Founders.
Later in life, he started the first natural history museum and displayed one of the first woolly mammoth's ever discovered in a fashion that was unique for the time.
