FULL VAN CONVERSION TIMELAPSE | DIY SPRINTER VAN BUILD #VANLIFE

Our full van build conversion in less than 15 minutes! This is the TL;DR for those of you who haven’t watched the past 6 months of van build videos. A van re-build sounds simple, right? We already had our insulation, rust treatment, sound deadening, flooring, bulkhead etc, so it was just a case of changing our furniture and framing… or so we thought. Neither of us anticipated a 6 month re-build through a cold and wet winter. We really ripped Sophia apart and not only re-built her, but massively upgraded her. Better tyres, a new lift kit, better water tanks, better re-fill points, a better fan, more windows… the list goes on!

We're Chesca and Ben and River (🐶 ) and we usually live full-time in our self converted sprinter van, Sophia. After a year of travelling Europe, from Spain and Portugal to the island of Sicily, the pandemic brought us back home to the UK. Along with a secret project we'd been planning! We plan to drive our tiny home on wheels all the way from Cornwall, UK to Cape Town, South Africa. Starting in late 2021, we first need to make some major upgrades to Sophia, stripping her right back to the insulation and giving her some beefy upgrades.
